SEQual is pleased to announce that our new Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) question set is now live within the SEQual platform. This development marks an important step in supporting more efficient, consistent, and meaningful assessment of ESG performance across the energy supply chain.
Why a New ESG Question Set?
Following clear feedback from our Buyer community – and with the support of our Supplier members – SEQual identified the need for a structured, standardised approach to ESG reporting within the pre‑qualification process.
The result is a collaboratively developed question set that enables:
- Greater alignment with Buyer expectations
- Reduced duplication of effort for Suppliers responding to multiple ESG requests
- Improved transparency and comparability across submissions
- A more efficient and robust assurance process
This initiative reflects SEQual’s ongoing commitment to driving industry‑wide efficiency and supporting responsible, sustainable sourcing.
Supplier Requirements and Timeline
The ESG question set is now available for completion within the SEQual platform.
To allow a smooth transition, Suppliers have until 30th April to complete the assessment before it begins to influence their overall SEQual compliance status.
- Suppliers completing the Full Assessment will be required to complete the ESG section.
- Essential Assessment members are not required to complete the ESG questions.
We encourage Supplier members to begin reviewing and preparing their responses as early as possible.
Information Webinar: Now Available to Register
To support users through this update, SEQual is hosting an information webinar on 2nd February at 2:00pm.
During this session, we will:
- Introduce the structure of the new ESG question set
- Explain the purpose and value behind each ESG area
- Provide guidance on completing and submitting the assessment
- Answer any questions from both Buyers and Suppliers
Supplier members are strongly encouraged to attend, and Buyer users are also welcome.
If you missed the webinar this is now available through the resources section within the platform.
A Collaborative Step Forward
This launch would not have been possible without the valuable involvement of our Buyer and Supplier communities. Their insight has shaped a question set that is both practical and meaningful, aligned with real operational needs, and designed to support continuous improvement.
SEQual remains committed to developing tools and processes that enhance quality, safety, sustainability, and efficiency across the energy supply chain.
For any questions regarding the ESG question set or support completing your assessment, please contact the SEQual team directly.
